Lots of reasons to be super optimistic about the lower minors. We got the architect back (Clark) and it seems the budget strings are loosening.

Add in that you can now trade for comp picks and it could be a very quick turnaround. Braves should spend right now for 3-4 year bridge pieces and let the farm system take over.

Bethancourt with two walks in a game? You don't see that everyday.

Bethancourt finished the game 2-2 with three walks. Three freaking walks. Good to see.

CB's demotion albeit criticized by many (including myself) may be the very thing that saves his career.

Nice to see Rio Ruiz homer, but man what an awful year for him. Only two homers?

I haven't been impressed with his defense at third either. He lets too many balls play him (sometimes leading to infield hits on should be outs, etc) and just looks more like a first baseman to me.

I wonder how many guys will be in the big league dugout in September. It's probably going to look like spring training. GCL team keeps hitting even after the promotions of Riley and Yepez.

Hopefully a lot will be brought up. Two who won't: Elmer Reyes and Josh Outman (both were released this week).

Is Reyes still in jail? Didn't see the Outman release. I imagine with Marksberry, McKirahan, and Detwiler that we are at our LHP quota for the bullpen.
