Freeman and Olivera both 0-3 with a K heading to the bottom of the 9th.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

Make that 0-4 with 2 Ks for Freddie as he goes down again.

The M-Braves were in town tonight, so I went to the game. Obviously, the line score shows it wasn't a great night for Mississippi.

*I liked what I saw out of Thurman in the first three innings. He was sharp with a lot of life on the fastball. I can't tell you how hard he threw because there is not a visible radar gun in the stadium. Then, the second and third time through the order, he was hit hard. The BayBears made good adjustments and hit him for two runs in the fourth, then touched him up for the other two in the fifth, when he left the game. Before the trouble, he was looking good. Despite the line score for him tonight, saw some things to be encouraged in regards to Thurman.

*Offense was rather putrid until the eighth inning, when they scored three runs off the tiring Mobile starter. Some may not consider it a great way to look at how players are doing, but I saw a lot of batting averages in the low .200's and some below the Mendoza Line.

*Was interested in seeing Rio Ruiz. Hit his double and scored in the eighth inning, which was the only productive inning for Mississippi. Didn't look great in the first two at bats. In his first, went from ahead 3-0 to striking out.

*Was also interested in Matt Lipka. Had a tough night. Hitless at the plate, though I did see some of the speed he has. Also committed an error, when he air-mailed a throw home which he should not have made. No way he was getting the runner at the plate and compounded it with the air-mail thorw.

*Including Lipka's, the M-Braves defense committed three errors on the night. Just a sloppy night all around for Mississippi tonight.
