Why are Free Market Republicans Against Fuel Choice?

As believers in the free market why won't they support the open fuel standard? Why don't we have gas stations where we can pick between gas, methanol, ethanol, etc.

No takers on this? How about this factoid, Henry Ford built the Model T, he wanted it to run on ethanol primarily, because everyone had access to alcohol.

I'd say this is very low on things people should care about.

But sure - I'll support the choice

IMO, the energy producing industry in this country, ie the oil companies, exploration, producing, fracking, etc,. is among the biggest villains we face today.

Why should it be low? Most cars have the ability to run on alcohol, ethanol, methanol, and other options they can be lower or comparatively cost and it would help ditch our reliance on crude, which is horrible thing to be dependent on. I mean for the folks who are worried about Arab Terrorists, this should be their number 1 thing as it's an immediate fix that would take a very short time to roll out, unlike lower cost eVehicles.

Because it's not a viable free market choice. You can't bring methanol and ethanol to market at competitive prices. They need subsidies. Silly sill question from a silly poster. I'll give you guys a clue. If it needs subsidies it ain't ready for prime time. You guys just keep worrying about selling dead babies and queers! That's what is really important!

Dude, it is called spelling/grammar check. It is your friend.

I actually wish all these people could know you like I do, from a place outside the mind numbing, IQ stealing, grey matter dissolving world of political rhetoric. I promise you they'd have a different opinion of you.
