I thought season 4 was the best since season 1. I agree about making the finale have a cinematic feel. It's something new to try and I didn't mind it at all. Season 4 was long (I was on with it) and compared to past seasons it was almost 2 seasons worth of runtime.

I liked season 3 a lot actually. Felt a lot more light hearted and youthful. But the acting in season 4 was definitely on another level.

Watching The Sandman right now. I'm not 100% sure how I feel about it yet. It's brilliant at times but it also is a bit off in certain ways. I've enjoyed what I've watched but I wonder how people who aren't fans of the comics will feel.

    Comic fans apparently love it.

Never read it. Will watch it at some point obviously.

I'm closing in on the end and it just keeps getting better and better. There are a couple things I'd change but it's incredibly well done which is especially impressive considering how difficult a show this is to shoot.

Just finished Fire and Blood. I’m all in on House of the Dragon. That’s going to translate super well to TV.

What I wonder about is what studio will back a mack truck of cash to Patrick Rothfuss's house when he finally finishes Kingkiller Trilogy. Because IMO it's like perfect for a TV adaptation and I only am like 2/3 of the way through the first book. You got seasons of content

Yep. You wouldn't even have to do the Kvothe storyline. You could literally just take his world and run with it. Have a series called "The Arcanum" and follow a group of students during their time at the University. That world is an absolute playground.

Isn’t Rothfuss actually less likely to finish his books than Martin?

I don’t get The Rehearsal. A lot of people think highly of it, I thought it was horrible.

There's been more noise lately about Rothfuss being close to completing book 3. I'm not sure how he's going to do it with all the loose ends he needs to tie up.

After what happened with the end of Game of Thrones, I think studios will be less likely to hand out series deals to someone with an unfinished series, especially someone who has gone years at a time without even touching the book.

Nah. Rothfuss is closer as I recall. Unlike GRRM he doesn't have unlimited funds from a TV deal. He's already read the prologue for a charity stream. Also Isn't there still 1 more SoFaI book after this one he hasn't completed. Rothfuss has more to write in terms of worldbuilding and side stories as he has already but his main arc is on it's way to a finale.

Seems like he's just struggling with figuring out how to close the story out satisfactorily.

Horrible ending to the BB/BCS saga. Forced cameos and group therapy regrets. Just criminal for such a great series to end that way.

I believe there is a series about Gus Fring in the works. It’ll be a prequel though about his rise to power
