I said IF he said it. I don't really think he did. But he wouldn't be the first to want off a good team.

He would be the first to want off a good team that he's played with for the majority of his career and is close to home.

Hudson is a 10/5 player, he can reject any trade.

Exactly. So, IF he said it, he wouldn't worry about being traded unless he planned on accepting it. I still say this is all bull, but if it is true, Hudson must want out.

I would be amazed if Hudson wanted out. And we/they shouldn't want him out. He's good for another 2-3 years of very good pitching. He gets rocked more often than he used to, because he has less margin for error. But most of the time he's a pretty good facsimile of Tim Hudson. And that's pretty damn good.

Gammons is usually good, but a grain of salt is required.

The guy who goes is easy. Maholm. He was brought in as a stopgap when we were thin, and he's done an admirable job. Congratulations and thank you and go sign a nice deal somewhere after the season. But he's not in the same breath with the other five.

My guess is Hudson said it, but it's not really something you want to go public, you feel me?

DOesn't say he wanted to be traded.

I think the start skip had to do with fredi not having confidence in our lineup to beat Lee.

Why waste a huddy start against Lee qhen you could have a better chance on Saturday?

"waste a Huddy start?" He's the 4th or 5th best starter on the team.

Maybe a gesture of sorts, trying to get him a win after pulling him in the last game.

I doesn't seem to make sense that they switched Hudson and Maholm, even for the next rotation of starts, as Maholm now has another start on the road where's he's been awful. Now that the ASB is 4 days, Fredi can re-arrange the rotation any way he wants moving forward. Minor-Medlen-Teheran-Hudson-Maholm would be my choice.

I like having Maholm between Teheran and Hudson. Following Teheran directly probably hurts Hudson a little. Similar pitchers, but Teheran has better stuff so Hudson looks easy to the batters the next day.

0% chance Hudson is traded. Anyone with any knowledge of the Braves should know this was false. Trading Hudson would have a very demoralizing effect on the clubhouse that makes any trade at best a lateral move. Hudson had a brutal May but since then has a 2.28 ERA while averaging 6 2/3rds innings pitched.

Pitching depth is an illusion that should be dealt with only when it becomes a reality. We spent months talking about what we were gonna do on June 16th when Beachy was back and if Wren made a move we would could have had a serious hole in the rotation.
