still dont know whether you are in favor of waiting periods as they apply to other aspects of everyday life.
Two that come to mind are dogs from a dog pound and abortion.
Or is it just weapons and ammo ?

1. It's never an apples to apple comparison because our culture is wildly different, and is extremely diverse
2. Listing countries that have outlawed guns is kind of ridiculous... Kind of like when you were bragging about more people getting health care after the government forced them too. How about you cite violent crime rates? Or are you not interested in such discussions?
1) More different / diverse than say England , France or Germany? From your comment it seems you have never been to England, France or Germany
2) Why don't you cite violent crime rates?
I could see your apples to apples point if the numbers weren't so large. I see Germany at 1.9 per million and the US at 29.7 !
There is no apples to apples comparison there . How to explain Canada at ~5 and US at 29.7. That is a huge huge gap

Would you care to take minorities out of the equation --- it says Americans - not black white yellow or blue.
Do your own homework. If you have a point to make - make it
////
Are you suggesting only whites get to buy guns and people of color are , how you say, untrustworthy?

All I did was suggest background checks and waiting periods. I can't think of anything more reasonable or what could be agreeable to everyone.
when
John Boehner gave his exit interview he pointed out
All the new people want to do is fight. Not legislate, compromise or even give respect to the other sides view.
Yet, the only suggestion I've seen from those that oppose any line of gun regulation is
ban people of color from having weapons because white people are more trustworthy
wow
But that's not what you said. You said no one of consequence was talking about confiscation. That's just not true and the model that President Obama says we should consider is Australia - and that's is most definitely an example of confiscation, not merely background checks and/or waiting periods. Which is fine to reference if that's what you believe.
Buyback = confiscation ok -- whatever.
Where confiscation connotates door to door searches and jack booted ...
or, buyback where one actually gets a return for the item.
More jacked up rhetoric !!
Provided by The Federalist blog ?
Let's set the semantics aside and tell me about gun suicides and / or mass shooting is Australia.
In order to create traffic flow invented were stop lights, stop signs, yield signs traffic circles etc.
Would you consider a Do Not Enter traffic sign an infringement on your personal rights?
How about One Way? Well, I want to go the other way.
Public Safety,
isn't Public Safety the issue ?
On these same grounds would you have opposed the above examples also -- Because stopping, in Sturg's view, is not in the constitution ?
