Chopping With The Braves And Rolling With The Tide
There's a reason that loveable, oversized tool has drilled his way into the hearts of Braves fans.
Two Bit is ok, too.

I was completely wrong about AJ. Never liked the guy, now one of my favorites.
AJ had a season OPS of .769, while Brian McCann had an OPS of .759 playing all of his games in one of the leagues best parks for left handed power hitters... And I was ridiculed for saying there wasn't much difference between the two.
Makeup is off the charts. Hopefully he can pave the way for a championship the way he did for 2-Bit.
Forever Fredi
IIRC, the argument was about defense. AJ is an awful defender and pitch framer, while McCann is pretty good at both. And McCann hits a ton of homeruns and walks, while AJ's OBP is almost entirely BA driven. If I had to wager, I'd say this was a flukish season offensively for AJ.
So, no, they're not really close.
I bet Bethancourt had flashbacks watching that.
The one thing I'll say about AJ is that is was likely one of the better values in baseball this year especially among free agents. Signed for 2 million and was a 2.1 WAR player this year. I just hope he didn't fool our FO into giving him a 2 year deal.
