He reminds me of Iwakuma with Seattle. You watch him and imagine the guys are drooling in the on-deck circle thinking they are going to totally get their rips. A few minutes later, they are back on the bench wondering what happened.

He's a fly ball pitcher who has had some success in Milwaukee and Toronto. That's impressive.

Watching Colon pitch to Bryant reminded me of the old Lew Burdette quote: "I exploit the greed of all hitters."

Are we sure Gattis isn't playing LF for the Cubs?

Pretty obvious the end of the season is coming tonight for the Cubs. I didn't pick them to win it all, because I didn't think it was their time just yet. But their drought, I believe, is coming to an end rather soon. It may be 2016, it could be 2017, but it's very soon. You look at Rizzo getting into the prime of his career, Bryant, Soler, Russell, Baez, Schwarber are just getting started. They have Lester for a few more years and Arrieta is showing to be a TOR pitcher. They are set up for the future.

It won't be 2017. That's the Braves' year.

Watching Daniel Murphy just irritates me. That never happens to us. Why?

So here's another infuriating Daniel Murphy trivia tidbit:

He has as many postseason home runs (7) in 9 postseason games as Hank Aaron and Willie Mays combined for in 42 postseason games.

That's according to Ian O'Connor's Twitter.

Damn, and I thought Chipper was unreal in September of 99 against the Mets, this is unreal, though.

Whatever juice that man found, I hope the entire Braves team gets their hand on it.

He's a good player, I get that. But the equivalent would have been Marquis Grissom or someone of that caliber going absolutely nuts in the postseason for us, and that never ever ever happens to us. Instead it usually happens against us.

I feel dirty rooting for the Mets, but it pales in comparison towards the hatred I have for Cubs fans who have to be some off the stupidest most obnoxious people I have ever met. Plus mists of the Mets seem like like able guys, and I've always like Collins as a manager going back to his California Angel days. Thought he got an unfair deal having to out up with airhead prick Edmonds.

Congratulations to the New York Mets. Dang. Words I never thought I'd type. That's like congratulating Tennessee!

There are worse things than the Mets in the World Series <cough>Nationals<cough> <cough>Yankees<cough>

    This is my nightmare...

But, honestly, I'd much rather the Mets make it than the Nationald or Cardinals. 5 years ago I would've had a much different tune.

    Still, Muck the Fets.

The Mets, man. Who would of thought this would be a thing in June? Even July? Whomever said that the trade deadline isn't that important for a team was wrong. Huge.
