My guess is Colorado or San Diego. Remember when Simmons was part of the young talent we were locking up? Lol.

@DOBrienAJC: #Braves Simmons trade rumor isn't off-base, though I don't know how deep they are in discussion. They will move him for right return.

The Braves can take on money and could put Olivera in the deal or move him to 2b (doubt it). Arenado wants out of Colorado and just got rid of Boras. We have a need for 3b. Pair Jenkins with Simmons and take Cargo or Reyes back. Arenado is a game changer and who you want hitting behind Freddie. That would be unbelievable. Regardless who it is, if Simmons is involved it better be alot. Dodgers could send Turner, Peraza, and Pederson for Simmons and move Seager back to 3b.

Crazy how quickly I things change...wonder what wrens thoughts are

But to be serious, this is crazy that something of this magnitude is rumored to be going on this early in the offseason....someone better be willing to pay the moon for Simmons or we have no business having this thread open

I think it would take a lot more than Simmons and cargo to get arenado and cargo...cargo hit 40 hrs last year with a good average

@dennistlin: Source: The Padres have checked in on Andrelton Simmons, but nothing is close at this time.

I see DOB starting the media spin early on this one. Don't blame him because he's going to be inundated with **** from angry fans.

If we are going to make this trade, let's avoid the smart GM's and focus on the idiot ones in SD and Arizona.

Simmons is just way too much of a beast and saves too many runs to be kept around. He single-handedly kept the Braves from getting the #1 pick with those runs saved so he's gotta go.

He is owed $50m over his contact, maybe our plan is to trade everyone and eat as much salary this year as possible. Then in 2017 we buy the Dodgers?

@mlbbowman: Clubs have talked to the Braves about Andrelton Simmons. Talks are ongoing, but no deal is imminent. Simmons is one of ATL's few big chips.

@Ken_Rosenthal: Sources: #Braves are talking to teams about Simmons. Does not sound like any deal is imminent. @jonahkeri first reported possibility.

    Rosenthal:

#Padres need SS. Simmons signed thru ’20. But after last winter, what do Pads have left to give - and would they deal with #Braves again?

I doubt it's the Pads...my guess is Colorado or LA

Dude is saying they're deep, yet everyone else in the baseball reporter world is all kinds of relaxed about it
