yeah.. um, the Pollock trade really didn't go very well for us.. I think it was because the Dbacks said no.

Something like Joc Pederson, either DeLeon or Holmes, and Austin Barnes would be what I would shoot for, though not sure they'd be willing to move Joc. Knowing us we'd probably end up with DeLeon and Holmes along with a fringe bullpen arm coming off tommy john.

We have got to stop trading for pitching. It's kind of like agreeing to get paid in Canadian dollars.

I'd be fine with De Leon, but we would have to get a bat back to.

If we trade him, I'd hope for a clear overpay on a position player. Someone the caliber of... oh, I don't know, maybe Jason Heyward?

Hopefully we'd trade for someone with more than a year left on his contract

The Canadian dollar did have a nice run before the last three years.

Not if we trade for ALL the pitching. Then we can flip the market on its ear. BOOM. Coppy'd.

I'd be fine with a trade based around DeLeon. I'd like to get position player talent at some point but I'm fine with the idea of targeting young pitchers with frontline potential. Right now we have Newcomb, Fried, Allard, Toussant, Sims, Folty, and maybe even Ricardo Sanchez who all have frontline starter ceilings. Their odds of reaching that ceiling vary but the hope is that at least a couple of them hit. I love the idea of putting together a Mets like rotation that keeps us in almost every game.
