I like the move....obviously it's not going to be for too much, probably less than it would be for K.Johnson....and he still gives you versatility....
Hmm... Trade precursor? Jace and Bethancourt package? I don't know lol

sounds like it is a $1.25mil guarantee deal with a chance to double that through incentives....not bad
I don't get it, but I suppose they had to sign someone. Expec to see Boni in CF vs LHers just because...Fredi.
Not a big outlay but I still don't really get it. Seems like we can get whatever we're going to get from him from any combination of guys already on the roster.

Lol. Back with us.
I had forgotten he was with us in Wren's last stand here.
Forever Fredi
You always need a utility guy and they're easy to trade, cause someone else does too. Now we need to sign some lefty relievers for the same reason.
The dream of a position player in the Rule 5 seems to be dead.

Gotta admit this one's a head-scratcher.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...
Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?
I assume the thought is that Boni will slot in as the RHH CF option. Still hits lefties at a solid clip for an up the middle player. The probably feel they need a lot less coverage in CF since Bourn and Inciarte can play CF too, so didn't want to roster another full time OF.
although this seems odd.. Castro can't play CF.. which is what the Braves are looking for.
however, I don't know why.. Ender is an everyday player and doesn't need a platoon partner. Nick and HO are the same.. So why are they still looking for a CF platoon partner for Bourn?!?
I'm resigned to sucking this year but that doesn't mean I'm looking forward to watching Boni on the reg.

Yea this one is a head scratcher, especially if it means we now can't make a choice in tomorrow's rule 5 draft.
Yeah, I still think they'll take a player in the Rule 5 . . . I just think it's now likely a pitcher. Don't see where they could carry a position player on the 25 man at a backup spot. Announced roster at 39. They've announced the roster neutral move (Miller for Inciarte), but not the other two moves that would add to the roster. Seems like a pretty good tell they'll make a Rule 5 selection.
