Until they show themselves capable of acting responsibly perhaps it is time to take away their toys as you would a 6 yer old child

In fact waht came out of the administration was nothing more than enforcing background checks already on the books.

People that legally purchase guns and pass background checks to carry their guns police themselves just fine. Probably better than actual police.

maybe it's just me but if I were a gun enthusiast I'd be looking at strengthening gun registrations and supporting stricter regulation of production and purchase to insure I would still have something to be enthusiastic about !
To insure I could consider myself a responsible gun owner

Of course the majority do. The majority of kids outside a school look before crossing the street. WE as a society have to drive extra slow in school zones because there are always those that don't and the consequences could be horrific.
