Lewis has done this 2 years in a row and in the Cape so I don't see how that would be playing over his head.

Potentially the Braves top 2 picks. There seems to be some smoke that Riley Pint is the top guy on the Braves prospect list.
New MLB.com mock. Jonathan Mayo now onboard with us taking Lewis at 3: http://m.mlb.com/news/article/180464...icid=151437456

Moniak-Puk-Ray. Says we are leaning to a sit able college bat at 3 as the draft gets closer.

Keith Law was asked specifically if Blake Rutherford could fall to 40. This is his response:
"I had a scout broach that possibility to me yesterday. It's an interesting one, because he was seen coming into the year as a potential top 5 guy and is almost certainly not going up there. I could also see the Phils cutting a deal with him at 1, then trying to pay someone $5 million at 42. There are a lot of possibilities right now with the lack of clarity up top and all these high school kids with upside but no price tags yet."
He also said he doesn't think we're in on Senzel.
MLB updates their picks again. Has us picking Lewis.

My gut still thinks we need to get Groome. I think he could match up with Allard and the two of them just dominate the division.

Swing comparison of Kyle Lewis to Corey Ray:

man that bat speed of Lewis is incredible
Don't want Ray. We need a righty bat.
I don't like Ray's stance or swing at all.
Love Lewis' batspeed, plus if he tones down that high leg kick, he can hammer balls with ease like Justin Upton.

hahahaha, you said "balls"
:-p
Ray has a Melvin Upton-like stance. IF his mechanics go in whack, he could struggle too much for my liking
Lewis has that big leg kick and exaggerated load. However, don't get caught up in that when analyzing hitters. Pay attention when the front heel hits the ground. That's when the swing starts. At that point, where are his hands? Are they fully loaded and ready to begin unloading? Where is the bat head? Is it wrapped around the head or more perpendicular to the spine? Is the bat more or less at a 45 degree angle? Those are the things that matter and determine how quick he gets to the ball once the swing starts .
For good measure, here is the same source's swing analysis of Nick Senzel.
