    To me, it's incredible that Wren can repeatedly go to the scrap heap and come away with treasure, and then go bid against himself for BJ Upton, and probably overpaid him by almost 50%. At the time, again, with Uggla coming off a yr in which he posted a .287/.369/.508, so I have more of a problem with the length of the deal than the dollar amount. The Lowe deal looks bad now, but in context, it wasn't awful. The Braves needed starting pitching bad, and Lowe was one of the top two options available. Kawakami was brutal. No lie. It's mystifying to me.

    Kk was not horrible his first yr frankly he was pretty good who can forget that night in Toronto when he matched Halliday pitch for pitch the 2nd yr and 3rd were god awful I'd say he earned his 6 mil his first year

    They're both very good at their jobs. I prefer listening to Wren in interviews. JS found a way to pat himself on the back with every sentence.
