Well, electricity is a necessity. Some folks want us to get it from other sources. Still don't understand why we are shuttering Nuclear Plants rather than rebuilding them and updating them.

And build more of them. It is clean fuel and with our tight security and fail-safes it is relatively safe, we are not Russia or China doing things haphazardly.

WEll it's also important to note that there is limited damage that can be done to a modern reactor. They're virtually failsafe. And it's important that no western built reactor has gone into full meltdown. Only eastern built ones.

TMI, Chernobyl, Japan, have a stronghold on our national consciousness. What to do with nuclear waste has a hold. That's why.

Want to reduce pollution? Use less electricity. Drive less. Fly less. Buy fewer things that require shipping. Buy closer to the source. Grow gardens. Install solar items as they get better and better. All kinds of things you can do right now that have far more impact than posting memes about cooling tower steam.

The comment with the meme pointed out that the regulations policing the emissions have been gutted.
Without those regulations we are back to Pittsburgh in the late 50's
