Buuuut...if politicians aren't "controlling" things, who is? If you flipped a switch and got the government out of, say, health care or banking or environmental regs, who's calling the shots?

    Simple question, right?

So the government acting as an intermidiary makes them a necessity. Just sounds like another level to syphon off more money from my pocket.

So, cutting out the middleman, like I said. Now, which "businesses and citizens?" Sturg and Julio and the Mom n' Pop grocery, or someone else? Who's holding those strings in the cartoon?

I'm little surprised that you're taking this angle.

The cartoon strings are held by the government.

Ideally, control in this country is decentralized.

But I recognize that undermines your "govt is amazing" ideology

So you actually don't understand the cartoon that you posted. Killer.

I'd settle for "government is necessary."

Ith cartoon is about giving people more control by eliminating what the government has control over. That is very clear.

The strings would be longer therefore making it harder to control we the people.

    1. Not everyone on the Alt-right is automatically a bad person or a Nazi. Lumping groups of people together like that is kind of one thing they hate about Trump. A person can have an abhorrent belief and not be a monster. A person can be a race separatist without being a bad person. That works for both sides. White separatists and black. If your kid is talking about Trump its probably because you wont shut up about it and he is relaying your negativity. Maybe teach the kid that being president doesnt make that person a god or right and this is why we shouldnt let the gubment dictate how we live our lives?

    2. What he said about Ivanka was the highest praise he can give in his own mind. He seriously thinks that.

    3. Melania knew what she signed up for. Do you really think she is anything more than a glorified prostitute? I dont think theres anything wrong with that, just that she was probably glad someone else was doing her job for her.
