Agree whole heartedly. There hasn’t been a new band that has had multiple hits/multiple hit records in over a decade.

That’s actually a bull**** excuse. Pop, hip hop and country aren’t regional. No excuse for rock music to be other than ‘it’s dead’.

I mean by that point were they? There were what 10 bands rotating through popularity.

Anyway, his logic is bad, and he should feel bad. Granted 2020 kind of shot the market on new material, but there's still lots of bands out there doing ****. And there's bands still sticking around and rocking like Foos, etc.

Though I will say, I think that the flaw to rock's current popularity is the rise of streaming services. And what that means to back catalogues. Pop is all about contemporary.

Honestly, while it's hard to get that off in a short tweet. Show a female executive chef in the tweet. Oor say like women deserve to run the kitchen, or anything else. They literally did the worst case scenario.
