I was just about to say, Hector at it again.

It's spring, so I'm trying to contain any excitement, but holy crap he killing it right now.

And just as I want to strangle Swisher, he's looking solid too.

Hector's had a great spring so far. My only complaint with him has been a lack of power. He's racked up the singles and does have 4 doubles but that's it. No triples, no HRs. One of the things Seitzer talked about this Spring was that Hector is still doing things in his swing that are robbing him of power. I'd like to see him start driving the ball.

There was a lot to fix to take the swing he'd used for 20+ years to where it is now. Seitzer's been right about everything else with him so far - the contact was the main concern, and that's been absolutely awesome. I see little reason to doubt him when he says the power will come as he becomes more and more comfortable with the changes.

For the Olivera-haters, no one has mentioned the first word about "game-changing" power - they've "fixed" the most important part thus far, and if they still think there's 20 HRs a year in there I'm a believer until they're proven wrong.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

Whoa there Seabiscuit. It's still a bit too early to declare things fixed. The early returns this year have been positive but it's still spring training. Uggla put up a .941 OPS in ST in 2014 and was released later that year.

Olivera is blistering the ball. Spring training or not, it SOMETHING positive to focus on.

Yuge game from Francouer. Gotta help his chances although Swisher also had a yuge game. The Swisher-Francouer battle is heating up. Any chance both make the team? Seems unlikely.

Hence the quotation marks surrounding "fixed".

The early returns are nothing but positive. If the players looked at every glass as 3/4 empty like many posters here, NO ONE would ever improve.

It appears Levi Hyams is now in possession of the polaroids.

It's the Francoeur v. Swisher fight for the 25th slot. I think Francoeur should pull out the PR machine with this comparison.

Swish plays 1B and switch hits, and we've got some injury concern there.

Plus I understand from Fredi that Francoeur is a CF, so maybe Bourn is the odd man out.

There are three types of people in the world. One says "The glass is half full." Another says "The glass is half empty." The third says "How did all that water get on the floor?"

I'd rather see players do well in spring training than not... but it really is quite meaningless

You left out the fourth type (that includes me) that says...

"Hey - bring me another beer/drink while you're up."
