    Obama in Cuba....

Glad to see a President down there and glad to see some sense finally coming of the Cuba policy.

first time in nearly 90 years we have had a President visit

Women demanding free speech and democracy in Cuba were dragged kicking and screaming from a protest march ahead of President Obama's arrival in Havana on Sunday.
More than 50 anti-government protesters were arrested at the Damas de Blanco (Ladies in White) demonstration as the Castro regime cracked down on dissidents ahead of the president's visit.

    Seems like a nice place

That only shows why engaging with Cuba is the best way to strengthen their peoples' will to be free.

They are just following the lead of what the Republican Party nomination advocates it seems.

****ing protesters. Should be carried off on a stretcher

It is a nice place though.

I think opening a dialogue would have been a good idea. Setting standards they'd have to meet to achieve greater ties with the US. But Obama's approach has been more of a caving in.

This seems to be Obama in Cuba:

    Don't understand the vitriol.

    Example: Vietnam

We went to war with them for a decade, lost more lives directly than Cuba.

We reestablished diplomatic and trade relations with them. They're still a communist country and we even sent John McCain as part of the peace envoy and he was the poster child for torture.

We are buddy buddy with the Saudi's and they commit worse human violations and fund terror groups behind our back.

Need to be friends with the Saudis for obvious reasons.

Cuba is ruled by its military. All the American investments in Cuba will go to its military not its people.

Thankfully Obama has made it to where we don't rely as much oil from the Saudis. And we possibly could buy oil from Iran.

And even though profits go to the military, giving exposure of Capitalism to Cuba's next generation of youth could cause an uprising and if there is a possibly revolution the US is in much better position to help the people.

Liked the US helped the 20 somethings in Iran a few years back when they raised up and asked for help?
