Ugh. Like everyone else, I've had my fingers crossed, but will say one more time that IF it's just soreness and he's able to eventually work through it, it's time to transition him to the pen - it certainly doesn't look like he's ever going to be able to stand up to a starter's workload.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

Fredi says: "Let him pitch through it, it just some pain, he needs the innings.....you know, to build up the stamina, arm strength. Correct? We're competing but we're not very good, so run him out there, see what he's got, who cares how many runs he gives up, lets get those innings under his belt. I can't hurt anything at this point can it? I don't think so, just might cause us to lose a game here or there that we shouldn't. But it will prepare him for the future, make it right, he will be ready next year then. Until then, I'll be scared as hell everytime I run him out there, I mean what can I do?"

I guess he's cheaper than keeping Mike Minor around.

So when should Roger come into question. I will say, I have been a fan of Roger.. but we have seen consecutive injuries from other pitchers under his reign as pitching coach. Maybe what Roger is preaching is not best for pitchers who are coming off injury. just a thought, not my opinion per se...

Considering the fact that Banuelos' elbow issues started long before he became a Brave (the reason the Yankees gave up on him), it's pretty tough to hang his problems on McDowell IMO.

That doesn't mean the club shouldn't continually look at their methods and approaches (in every instance and for hitters as well) and shouldn't always be flexible and open to evolving - just that Manny's probably not someone that has much to do with those things since he brought his issues with him.

You've been warned about this bogus crap. This is NOT a real Freddie comment.
