LOL at people not remembering the barrage of people who were throwing the early success of last year's offense in the face of the negabraves.

"Fun to watch" was the common theme.

Yet the rational posters explained over and over how it was luck - cluster luck of a bunch of singles - and it would not last...

And sure enough, it didn't. Now we get the "WHO SAID THAT IT WAS FUN?? YOU GUYS ARE ALL CHICKEN ASS NINJAS!" - yeezus

To be fair a lot of people thought last year was going to look like this year. I think the rosiest of posibraves would have thought we could be a .500 team. Which I still think we could have if Freeman/Grilli didnt get hurt and we didnt start trading people.

Don't look now but the Reds just called up Jose Peraza from AAA.

    Was hitting .295/.341/.393 with 1HR, 1 3B, 7 2B, 6 SB in 30 games

I'm still not a fan of Peraza, BUT I would prefer to have both he and Alex Wood over the woman-beating, strikeout-prone, old third basement/outfielder. #Salty

    Peraza 3B
    Albies SS
    Swanson 2B
    Freeman 1B
    Inciarte CF
    D. Peterson LF
    Flowers C
    Pitcher
    Smith RF

    I can deal with that!

We'd need some power somewhere, but you're looking at five guys that COULD average 20+ SB easy.

Thats a stupid amount of speed on the bases. You have easily 5 or 6 guys who can go 1st to 3rd on basehits. Thats the difference in a lot of games.

Would u do Reyes and Dahl for Olivera? I don't think Rockies would

What if you replace Dahl for one of their catchers and Throw in money? 25 million?

Ortiz joins Aaron an Bonds as the only two players with 500 homers and 600 doubles. What a career.

You just always change what was said to try and make your point.
I just said, I think in this same thread, I did, in fact, find the team more fun to watch in the first half of last year than in 2014. Can you show me where I denied that? I also said expectations for each team played a part; seeing a supposedly dynamic 2014 team fall completely flat was depressing.

What I did actually say was no one thought this year would be fun to watch. And that's what you just said: that people claimed THIS year would be fun to watch. No one said that.

But your post makes no sense. I never said people didn't say last year would be more fun to watch (and IMO, it was until around the mid-way mark). Call it luck if you want, the 2015 offense was outpacing the 2014 offense halfway thru the year. Then we made trades, Freddie was hurt, etc.

I completely remember posting stats of the 2015 offense being better than 2014. Where did I say that was never said?

That's completely different than saying "no power is fun," especially if you're referencing the lack of power on this year's team. again, I do believe the first half of last year was better than watching the big letdown of 2014. i'm not claiming at all that no one said that - and never claimed that - so saying I did is just more word-twisting.

If the Braves don't make the deadline deals, they probably win between 5 and 10 more games rather easily. A lot of professional ABs went out the window the trade of Johnson and Uribe and innings with Wood. Bullpen after Grilli went down totally fell apart. They would have still been crappy in the Rickey Bobby sense, but they got the most out of their ability in the first half of the season.

One of these is not like the others.

Ortiz has had a great career, but he sure did roid it up.

Maybe? He has been before, so what would stop him?

All I know is that there is no doubt that at least some of those 500 HR and 600 2B came while he was on roids.

Just seems odd in an age where testing happens all the time that he hasn't been busted yet. It's not like his career died like it did it for others when the testing began.

I'm disappointed that Odor got suspended for 8 games. I thought he should get a medal for punching that smug SOB.

Odor got 8x the amount of games that Bautista got only because he is better at fighting.
