Just watched Kimbrel mow down the Jays. Man I miss that guy, absolutely filthy. Everything was 98-99 and that slider, um..unfair. I swear Eckersley (a great closer in his own right) was wetting himself in the booth.

But then again, not like we'd need him anyway. Sure would be nice to get him back here when the influx of young talent arrives and we start competing.

Very nice start to the year for Markakis. I still don't think the decision to sign him made sense at the time, but it's looking like he's gonna be a better investment than most of us thought. Probably gonna need to eat some crow when all is said and done. Would be fantastic so see him catch fire in the next couple months and net us a good prospect. That last year of the contract still scares the heck out of me.
