Hes generating a ton of ground balls, so if he can limit the walks then I think he's a rotation piece. The strike out numbers don't blow you away, but they are slightly higher, and his stuff still outpaces his results which leads me to believe there is some room to grow there.

Povse needs to find his way to Mississippi pretty soon. He's through 6 IP on 64 pitches. 3H, 0 BB, 0R. His WHIP somewhere around 0.6 at the moment.

he is quickly becoming one of my favorites to follow.. very Maddux like efficiency. I don't care if he Ks 10 guys.. I just love the low pitch count he continuously has..

Watched a lot of his game tonight - the command wanders a little bit, and he doesn't seem to throw his fastball by many people; but he threw some really good curveballs for strikes and certainly limited hard contact. Pitched out of trouble in the 6th, seemed to stay composed.

Rio Ruiz drove a ball oppo to the warning track on his 3rd AB, didn't miss the home run by very much.

Was just going to post that. He can't be long for Carolina. He's been dominant except for the game last week when he had a touch of the flu.

I wouldn't call that last start bad either.. just didn't go as deep.. I think he only gave up one or two runs IIRC

I like Jenkins but he looks like a solid bullpen arm in the future rather than a starter in MLB, IMO.
