Are you comparing any of those guys to a top 5 draft pick/top 10 player in the NBA?

Not at all...just making the statement that you don't watch these guys play. YOu have no understanding of what type of players they are. This is similar to the Harden situation because I was saying since his rookie year that he was going to be a star player.

So you are saying Jackson, Lamb, Adams, and the future 21st pick will be stars?

    Never once said that.

I said that Jackson/Lamb/Adams are all future starters.

I just want a good rotational player for the 21st pick.

Future starters and/or good players? Like consistent PER over 15/16?

Jackson/Lamb I believe will get there. Adams is more of a defensive minded center that will control the glass.

IMO they have a title right now if he doesn't leave. Or win this year for sure.
I dont think they win it all last year with Harden.

Swapping Russ for Harden doesnt change much at all.

This year, probably though with him.

They'll never get proper value for it, but.

KD said on twitter a year ago or so they were too good, too soon, and the new CBA hurt them.

Also, how many teams have nearly 3 and a half max players outside of the big market teams?

Whoever gets Jabari Parker will be getting a great offensive player and equally terrible defensive player. I will be interested to see how he develops over the coming years and hopefully see him add something to his defensive game. Right now - it's lacking. Offensively though, he could be a heck of a player.

If you love the NHL you will believe that.

If you love the NBA than you won't.

I like both sports. Never played organized hockey a day in my life. Play a ton of organized basketball and have watched it since I was a young kid.

The anticipation/atmosphere/intensity/etc. of last nights games will never be matched by the NBA. The first 45 mins of an NBA game mean almost nothing in most games.....take the last possession of a tied NBA game and the excitement for that last possession....thats what its like for 60 (or 100) mins of an NHL playoff game.

It's fact, NHL playoffs are freaking incredible.

Sad thing is, you just have to watch the final 3-4 minutes of an NBA game for the playoffs, and you dont miss much, sad yet true.

He was also playing out of position.

Played 4 most of the year, and played some 5 when they went uber-small, but interested to see where he'd go.

Boston with Rondo would be a great fit.

Meh, the NHL playoffs are by far the best. I can't believe people actually watch anything besides conference finals and finals in the NBA. The bobcats are in the freaking playoffs? Why? Who wants to see them? The Raptors?

Meanwhile, the Blackhawks and Blues are playing IN ROUND 1, Flyers vs Rangers, Sharks/Kings, Wings/Bruins, Lightning/Canadiens, Avalanche/Wild....these are 1st round match-ups. The only playoffs that can compete is NFL, but I find series to be a lot better than single games. And this is coming from a huge baseball fan, my favorite sport. But the intensity in the NHL playoffs is off the charts, the game play and pace is not seen anywhere else for miles. Pretty much any team can win it, no one is written in to the finals. Stars/Ducks is probably the only 1st round match-up that isn't close, but the Stars are still good. It's not like watching the Heat play the freaking Bobcats. What is the purpose of even showing that garbage? Heat fans actually want to watch that? That is the epitome of bad league.

There are a lot of die-hard hockey fans. There are a lot of NBA "fans" I guess, and ESPN doesn't cover hockey much because they're a joke and still bitter, so you have people that only watch ESPN (the worst kind of people) who like the NBA and the Knicks and LeBron because that's all they talk about. I'd say the average hockey fan is way more passionate and knowledgeable than the average NBA or NFL fan. So many people like the NFL for what surrounds it, ie tailgating, Sunday afternoons, etc. Like you have women who "love" football, but they don't truly understand the game and follow it. Same with a lot of men. It's popular for a lot of reasons outside of how good the game/league currently is.
I think the NHL is by far the best league right now. The talent distribution is amazing, and that's mostly because there's so much talent. The Avs had the #1 pick in 2013, and are now the #1 seed in their division in the West, with a 20 year old Captain and Nathan McKinnon, the #1 pick in 2013, who is 18 and an absolute monster. But you have a whole different level of talent in guys like Crosby and Stamkos. Overall though, the amount of young talent is crazy. You don't have bumass teams like the Sixers and Bucks in the NHL. Or in the NFL when teams win like 1-3 games. There's one good first round match-up in the NBA...there's only one "bad" first round match-up in the NHL. I think some people don't understand hockey.

Also no one here watches soccer but it is by far more entertaining than the NBA. The NBA is a laughing stock.
