Okay. Since you don't get the point of this game...
Let's say the Thunder are fed up with Roberson and Waiters and want to up grade their wings. Kevin Martin, Wilson Chandler, Aaron Affalo, etc. are available.
Obviously you know the roster better than me, so bare with me and make the assumption that they need to fill a hole. Do you see the point that I am trying to make?
Pierce opts out, sounds like hes gonna join Doc in LA.
It's funny that you don't think they are.

I think McGary is fine as a backup, but I am not sure what Collison does that makes adding another big pointless.
OKC really could use another stretchy big. I know Ibaka can do that, but I think having another would be a nice addition to their bench. I certainly would prefer that over Collison.
Nice market inefficiency the 76ers are using - lying about their players health when they trade them. Well done Hinkie.
Also, of course the THunder can improve but when you have 2 max players and another guy who makes 12M there isn't much you can do. Almost every team outside of the Warriors would love to have the Thunders "need" for improvement.

Discounting the games Russ was out, You guys were 22-18 with Russ and no Durant. With Russ healthy you guys were 40-27.
Those are good records, but definitely not good enough where you feel comfortable with every spot on your roster. Nick Collison isn't good enough to warrant complacency.
Nick Collison is the fifth big on the roster and is only going to be used situationally depending on the mtachup and foul problems. What he does on the floor will never show up in the stat sheet. He is a player you have to watch to appreciate his contributions to the team. He is not a starter or even a guy you want as the first big off the bench but at the end of the bench I LOVE IT.

Well I'm sure Dion's 5.5M cap hit plus the 1st rounder would help fill one of those needs. The whole reason behind the deep dive in the Thunder's needs circles back to my point that that trade was regrettable.
I do agree with you that the Thunder are in exceptional shape this year. If everyone is healthy they could win 60 games. It just sucks that you are constrained in your ability to improve the roster due to having one of the worst players in basketball on your team.
They are over the cap anyway. Even with the efirst round pick it would almost be impossible to construct a trade since they have no trade exceptions.
And if none of the big 3 miss significant time this year I would place a bet and say they will absolutely win over 60 games this year.
