The injury last month was a calf injury. This one was other leg and achilles. But they're probably related. He probably didn't wanna put too much pressure on the wounded leg, and ended up relying too much on the healthy leg to carry the momentum and anchor his movements and it ended up collapsing.

I'd love to see GS send it back to Toronto.

The injury was a right calf strain. The injury now is a right Achilles rupture. I thought from the beginning it was more than a simple calf strain. He was wearing a brace or wrap a lot closer to his foot than his calf in images I saw.

I would love to see Toronto lose this series, but I can’t see it happening.

Gotta say as a Knick fan, the turn of events this past month has been pretty depressing. We went from the potential of a #1 pick / a chance at an AD trade and two max free agents to getting the #3 pick and likely getting cut out of the top end of the FA/trade market. Brutal.

As an all things New York hater I love the fact that happened.
What will be such a Knicks move is signing a broken KD to a max deal in a couple weeks even though he’s going to miss most if not all of next season and most likely won’t return to the level of play he was at.

The core of the team that won several titles (Steph, Klay, Draymond, Iggie, and other role players) are still on that team and they played most of the series.

Losing Durant hurt yes but it’s not like Golden State didn’t have the firepower to win. Hell Cousins is a damn all star max player on other teams but he signed with GS for league minimum.

I’d be shocked if he doesn’t get the max. Warriors, Knicks, Clippers, Nets, will all offer it.

Warriors beat the Cavs with the same basic team. If you can't win with Steph, Clay, and Green you suck. They got beat by Kawhi and not much else.

Did you miss Siakam’s game 1? Van Vleet was playing out of his mind the whole series and was the actual MVP of the series. He’s the only reason they clinched last night. Leonard was nowhere to be seen in the 4th. Lowry was pretty huge game 5 and 6 and had all good series. Ibaka was a difference maker as well. Believe game 3 the Raptors have 6 in double figures including their starting 5. To say it was Kawhi and nothing else is patently false.

Obviously more thna just Leonard played the game. But he lead the team in PPG, RPG, STLPG and was second in Blocks and assists. He was the driving force for them through the series.

Of course Golden State would have been better with Durant, but ti's no excuse for them to lose. They didn't need him to sweep aside Portland.

I think the Anthony Davis trade is pretty good for both teams.

New Orleans gets a haul of picks/swaps and three young players. I'm not sold on Ball or Ingram for various skill/medical reasons, but both are valuable assets. I think both have higher ceilings than Kuzma, who was left out of the deal. They have an interesting collection of assets to go along with Zion and Jrue and given Boston's reluctance to make a godfather offer and Davis' insistence on leaving, I think Griffin did about as well as could be expected.

Los Angeles, after a decade of incompetence, somehow salvages the LeBron era and goes from laughingstock to possible 2020 title favorites. They trade the 4th pick in a 3 player draft and essentially give the Pelicans control over their draft for the next 7 years, but big whoop? NBA history has taught us the Lakers are always going to be a draw for star players, regardless of front office dysfunction or mis-management. They're the one team who can afford to get loose with draft capital. If any of those players actually turn out to be something, the Lakers can sign or trade for them later.

Lavar is butt hurt in the worse way, he is like a big man with diapers on.

I bet the Lakers said, take his son please and we give you an extra pick because we don't need his headache.

There's also a decent chance Kawhi could sign with the Lakers. I believe they still have room for one more superstar salary.

Even if they don't re-sign Davis, and they sign Kawhi to a long-term deal that's still a good trade-off. LBJ-Davis-Kawhi for one year is pretty damn good.

I’m a little confused about the timing, but I believe Davis is due a $4M trade kicker bonus, which would reduce the Lakers cap space below the max. He could waive the bonus, but I’d be surprised if he did so

The day before the Anthony Davis trade the Lakers were like third highest odds to win the finals. Funny how all of a sudden the trade with the Lakers happens. NBA is always the dirtiest league.

I believe that's because it's the been an open secret that the Lakers have had open cap space to sign a Kyrie or Kawhi. That's why.
