Sanchez, Withrow and Gant today. Pretty solid. Hopefully Augusta doesn't destroy Sanchez like they have done to seemingly every pitcher we've thrown at them.

Looks like Juan Yepez was moved from extended spring training up to Rome. He's playing first base and has an RBI single in the first inning.

Juan Yepez promoted to Rome, hit and walk first two trips with an RBI. He is a big first baseman (6-1, 200 at age 18). See if he gets on the fast track.

Georgia boys Gant and Barker with strong games today, Barker just continues to do well every time out. Gant hopefully can finally focus on just starting and continue to shine doing so. Sanchez had a stinker, hope he bounces back next game. Good to see Albies break out today and how about Hursh another two inning scoreless outing getting his ERA under three. Maybe he is turning into a decent reliever with a future in MLB.

Yepez interests me, how is he at third base and might we see him play there again or is he set to be a first baseman?

Gant is going to be a serious contender for the major league rotation in 2017.

I wondering if they held him back so he could play third in Danville. Guess not.

Acuna with three hits. He, Albies and Swanson could give us an outstanding group manning the up-the-middle positions. Strong defensively, offensively and on the base paths.

I was hoping he'd be able to stay at third in case Riley busts, anyone know if they're still considering him at third or have a scouting report on his strengths and weaknesses there?

I know others will say no problem we have Ruiz, but honestly I still see Ruiz is a likely MLB player but not a solid starter at third. Hopefully I am wrong though.

I was one that was excited about the talent in Rome thinking they would be a great team. I am being to realize it was false hope for the future.

Ruiz cooling off. Hopefully he isn't about to stay ice cold for a stretch

Look at it another way. Yepez was going to stay back to play third, but Riley has shown that he is perfectly fine developing at third base. So Yepez is at the level his bat says he should be.

Yeah, we are stacked positioning moving forward with Swanson, Albies and Acuna. Our team speed and defense will be off-the-charts impressive.

Think I'd pump the breaks on a bit on Acuna. Swanson will likely be entering arbitration before that guy is a realistic option for the roster.

He was due for a pretty big drop. He still needs to either lower his K rate pretty substantially or increase his power a good bit. Otherwise, his average is going to drop to .250 or .260, and he won't make up for it with power.

They are extremely young. It may have been a year too early for them to really do big things.
