I don't want to give him the satisfaction of a penis joke. Since he's almost single-handedly ruined what was once a great institution of borderline jokes. Maybe in the end it was better when Wood was a reliever. His performances were always good and he was in and out in a hurry so we didn't get flooded with bad jokes. Maybe the opposite is true with bad jokes than it is with bad whiskey, it's wise to consume bad jokes in only small quantities.
I still blame SAV, cause when in doubt, blame it on someone else.

Can we just beat the damn Mets already? Let's try not to have a losing record vs. them. They're still the Mets.

I would've started Gosselin with a lefty on the mound.
Every year there's always one 'bad' team that the Braves just cannot beat. Used to be the Marlins all the time. Then it was the Nationals before they became the 'annointed ones' in 2012. Now, the Mets aren't as terrible as years past (blast their high draft picks on pitchers...) but on paper, Braves should win but just don't this year.
I'm pretty sure they are the only other team in the NL East with a winning record in the last 2 months. So yeah this has been much improved team over the course of the season.
Fredi day game lineup today. Naturally they probably score 8 runs.
Three nasty pitches to the start the game, and a K-L.
Wow, didn't realize how solid of a year Marlon Byrd is having.

Personally, I've always liked Byrd. Well, I did before his PED suspension anyway. I was a bit disappointed in him after that. But he's someone I actually would've given a shot myself based on his past track record. He's always been a pretty solid defender and not a bad bat. So I'd picked him up for a platoon in the outfield or 4th outfield duties at the very least. I'd rather have him than BJ Upton...
Johnson has not hit the ball hard in a while. THe regression is happening. Hopefully it won't be too much of one.
