This is interesting timing. I thought not playing Castro/Beckham last night was fairly stupid and contributed pretty directly to the loss, but I wouldn't expect the FO to make this kind of decision based on something like that. Still, seems strange to fire him in the middle of a series on a road trip.

Fredi was never a bad guy. I hope he finds his way on another team as a bench coach or something, but it's been clear for at least three or four years that he was in over his head here.

I almost wonder if they specifically chose Snitker to signal they're cleaning house at the end of the season. Take the Braves lifer and throw him a bone, then let him go back to the minors at the end of the season and hire your whole new coaching staff.

Either that, or they just wanted someone who was used to managing AAA talent.
