    Tweaks for Snitker

I'd like to see the following tweaks from our new manager:

    1) Move Inciarte out of left and into either center or right.

    2) Keep KJ in the lineup against righties but play him at third

    3) Increase Flowers PT at catcher

    4) Increase Castro PT at short

    5) Call up Garcia and use him in left against lefties. Rotate rest among our regular outfielders when Garcia is used.

    6) Always save one left handed bat for high leverage pinch hitting duty in late innings.

I make no claims about how many wins these tweaks might be worth. But they all strike me as Good Housekeeping 101 sort of things that a competent manager would implement.

Put the better players out there, pure and simple. Don't manage the bullpen like there's no tomorrow every single game. Play more small ball.

Just looking at mallex's numbers and was surprised to see him at 0.9 dWAR. Ahmed leads the nl at 1.0. If mallex can keep this up, him and inciarte would allow us to put a poor defender with a big bat in LF

I think we need Rachel Phelps to take over to make sure we get that number one pick.

Yes, it would allow us to put Garcia in left... or even better, Kemp - ahem, let's do the deal to get the pick! lol

If the #1 pick was the main priority, Fredi would still be here

I think giving Mallex everyday opportunities, moving our best defender in Inciarte to either center or right field, and playing Flowers more are the most important things right now.

    Welp, AJ is catching, BUT...

    Inciarte LF
    Markakis RF
    Freeman 1B
    AJ C
    Beckham 3B
    KJ 2B
    Castro SS
    Blair RHP
    Mallex Smith CF

Inciarte NEEDS to move to center or right, but I'm glad our best defenders are playing - screw Aybar.

Hoping he does something different... but at the same time Snitker was another one of Bobby's guys after Fredi left to manage Miami, so I really am not gonna expect anything different.

couple of things... YES on Neck out of the leadoff..
I am fine with AJ and Blair working together. it looked like flowers and Blair just didn't connect the last time out.. but that could have been Blair just being off..

    BENCH AYBAR!!!

Things I don't know.. is Beckham better at 3B or 2B?

So Beckham at third and KJ at second is the organizational wisdom? Yikes.

At least Aybar is not in there.

I wonder if Coppy told Snitker to go with this lineup.

Also, are we really going to do the pitcher in the 8th hole thing from here on out?

Also have to hand it to Snit, no fu-ks given putting 5 out of 6 lefties to start.

I wouldn't worry too much about the first few lineups. We've all watched more brave games than our manager right now

I don't mind this move.. it allows Mallex to get at bats at the bottom of the order and not have the pitcher protecting him. Almost like training him to be the leadoff man...

You guys think Aybar is done? Can't play anymore? If you think he can turn it around I think you have to keep running him out to try and get it going. He bring a decent piece back at the deadline. Can't believe how much talk there is about how FG has lost the team. Guys aren't hustling and making mental errors. Some of this might change with some new scenery in the dugout.

I would add getting Aybar out of the line up as well.

is there any adv to keeping markakis in rf for trade value?

I really don't care what the manager does as long as:
Everyone who is young plays or gets sent down to play
    Pitching staff is handled well
    Don't over manage
