I never saw any number reported personally - just saw the report that we had a deal in place.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

I've read a couple things. I've read as low as $3.5M and I've also read that it's not a big discount.

I remember it being stated that the Braves would save $2.5-$3 Mil under slot. The actual negotiated number was just something we interpolated from that.... as I remember it.

Wilson shot up the board his senior season, reaching the top #100 at BA (although I'm always leery of those lists). I'm not the best estimator when it comes to over/under slot, but I think Wilson will be a bit over slot.

Brian Bridges made the comment recently that Ian Anderson, Joey Wentz, Kyle Muller, Bryse Wilson, and Matt Rowland is your GCL staff this year.

That's awesome. I really like the Rowland pick. Each one of those kids in particular is interesting.

I hope they all can pitch complete games because given Bridges' comments, it looks like there won't be any relief pitchers.

We need to get Anderson and Cumberland wrapped up... think Cumberland is going to be a Schwarber type

I'm not sure what kind of power Cumberland has. The MLB.com prospect list shows him at a 45 grade. That could just be dumb, but that seems strange for someone with a perceived 'big' bat.

Photo of Bryse Wilson signing is posted. Don't know $$$, but he seemed as if he'd be a tough sign away from UNC.

So, unofficially, we have seen reports of 24 players signing, not counting Anderson!

that seems a little low to me, but I have never been a fan of the MLB rankings or grades as compared to some of the other folks.

Sure would like to see news about Neslony and Mooney - not really "worried", but their slot dollars are pretty much the only thing keeping us from seeing Cumberland sign.

Re: Neslony .. Texas Tech is still playing in the College World Serioes. Can't sign anyone who's still playing.

Does anyone has a source to the report that Josh Anthony was unlikely to sign?

No report, but he has made the comment via Twitter he thought he was worth way more than his slot value. Don't know If there will be money left to sign him for much over slot.

Per John Manuel of Baseball America, Bryse Wilson got $1.2 million. The slot value of his pick was $546,800. Wow.

There's been a big chunk of money left in the pool that had me questioning where it would go. Question answered. Saw a couple draft followers note that Wilson had a strong college commitment (to UNC I think), so it definitely sounds like that was the case.
