Going out on a limb here; but I'm guessing you're not going to like whoever we get.

That doesn't take much brain power

I've listed many times the trades I liked... the trades I didn't. I didn't like the decision to burn to the ground. But now that we have, there's been some good and bad

    Good/Great:
    Swanson/Blair/Ender
    Wisler/$
    Touki
    Folty/Ruiz
    Gant/Whalen

    Not good/Meh:
    Shelby Miller
    Newcomb/Aybar
    Fried/Mallex/Jace

    Terrible:
    Markakis
    Olivera

It depends a lot on what the Yankees do and if they stay in the race or not.

If it were me I'd approach Boston and Texas and tell them that we have the ability to change the landscape of the AL championship race, and we're going to package Julio and Viz up to thew team with the best offer.

Agreed... these guys will be just as if not more valuable in the off season... just hope they stay healthy before we move them.

Well Sanchez is only 19 in A ball with some past success, great stuff and a live arm... command is the issue... he has a pretty high ceiling whether he reaches is it or not. With Kubitza DFA'd, I say its close to a fleece.

How can you deny a 19 year who's raw with some electric stuff who just needs to work on control in A ball for a guy who was just DFA'd not a fleecing... especially considering slot money added.

I'm not disputing that we got higher upside in that deal. But, come on. Sanchez is a teenager it was obviously still learning to pitch. Can we stop treating these guys like they're already major leaguers?

I think most people like the trade, but there's major questions about Sanchez. I'm not going to say we fleeced them on that deal until Ricardo gets at least a little consistency.

    Love the trade

But for me the guy has to contribute to the mlb team before we can say fleecing

Point of interest- Red Sox 4th and 5th starters have been an absolute dumpster fire recently. Elias, Rodriguez, and Buchholtz(recently put in bullpen) haven't even given there tremendous offense a chance to win in the past week. They might be getting antsy.

I'd settle for Benintendi, Kopech, and Swihart.

Would Swihart have to be PTBNL since he is injured?

substitute Michael Chavis for Swihart and you might have a deal.

Would we do Teheran and Vizcaino for Moncada and Benintendi?
