This team is absolutely dead since Heyward went down. It's going to be a long September if **** doesn't correct itself in a hurry.

I think we can put the "Bench Uggla in favor of anyone" line of argument to bed.

and the last series vs them, weren't they missing molina?

I have doubts if you even like GDTs.

Dang. It's just not the same without Jason.

The funny thing is he never gets the credit he deserves unless he is hot. He is a guy that does so much even when he isn't hitting the ball well.

I think many of us are just depressed to see the team is super depressed about his injury.

We're 0-3 in games not started by Heyward since his injury. That should bump his WAR +3.

He was making a strong case for MVP imo. Before he was leadoff, we were a good team. When he went to leadoff, our record with him there and his numbers were amazing.

Fredi deserves a lot of credit for perceiving that hitting in the #2 spot was depressing Jason. None of us saw that. Hitting second can be very stressful.

I'd imagine it must've been stressing him out.

When the guy ahead of you isn't getting on base and is expected to get on base (Schafer, Simmons), the pressure falls on you to get on for the big boys.

AT least when he was in leadoff, he could freestyle. Hit a homer, get a single, take a walk.

Jason would never blame a teammate for his problems hitting second. He was just scared of the responsibility.
