This list is closer to what I was expecting to see from BP. Surprised Fried hasn't snuck in the back of the top 100, though probably getting dinged for his age versus level.

which is dumb since he is coming off a serious injury.

Nice to see Sororka on there. He's gonna keep climbin'. In fact, I could see 2-6 all climbing significantly, and soon.

The Braves have a good system... but certainly not the best in the league... I'd put us around 4/5

I would say top 4 is about right. but we are really deep in lower minors. I think we will continue to stay a top five farm for years to come.. even as guys graduate.

I'd think no one even comes close to our 1-30.

Outside of the Red Sox, who would clearly be better right now? The Dodgers, Nats, and Astros all have really good systems as well, but they are pretty much dead heat with us, and I think our depth wins out against them.

Essentially have zero power hitters. Albies and Swanson are good prospects but power really isn't their game. Suspects like Peterson (some power, but not enough for his likely position, might be a AAAA guy), Davidson (appears to be a power hitter with a punch and judy approach), Riley (slider speed bat, strikes out a ton, but likely the best hope right now), Ruiz has been a power flop, Acuna might be the guy but hasn't really shown it yet and is a very, very long way away. Everyone else are so far away it's not really worth discussing right now.

Nats system is pretty top heavy. They aren't going anywhere since they locked up their pitching.

That's the thing right? There are other teams with better top prospects than us, but not many, if any, with the depth we have. So, how you rank our farm depends on your personal criteria. If you prefer upside, Dodgers and Red Sox look better, if you prefer depth, we are easily the #1 system....etc

either way, it's good to have a farm system again.

This. Just being in the discussion as one of the best farm systems in baseball, compared to where we were a couple years ago, is very refreshing.

I would prefer 1 elite stud to 2 good players any day. Truly elite players are almost impossible to acquire, while average/good players are available all the time.

Obviously not in your opinion, but there are people who think the Braves have the best system in baseball.

In my opinion we are pretty easily in the top 3 - especially after the last draft and international free agency period.

we might have several, it's hard to tell until they reach the upper levels and/or MLB. Lot of guys that looked like superstars became nothing, and vice versa. Just gotta wait and see.

Yep, and with Seager and Urias at the majors I don't think the Dodgers really have us in upside in the minors either. The Red Sox are really the only farm I would consider someone definitely able to put above us right now, and that would be based on the number of high impact high end talent.

Pirates called up Josh Bell, a guy I think compares with Braxton Davidson a good bit. Bell also took awhile to tap into his power potential, but when he did! powwwww!

I know he is young... but before I start comparing him to anyone who makes it to the show, I would need to see him hit above .250 and not K more than 30%+ of the time..
