I'm really not sure why we keep him at AA. He murders AA pitching.

The unofficial/official reason is that he's now learning second base. His 19 errors in 50 games at Gwinnett sealed the deal on who was moving where. Plus, Infante is now at Gwinnett.

Let a guy build confidence. we are so quick to move people. Blair is a classic example of screwing someone up. He was killing AAA.. bounced back and forth and now can't even get AAA guys out again. Why not let guys have sustained success for a while before we move them. I think Ozz and Dans need to stay in AA for at least another month.. Blair needs his next start skipped and let him work on mechanics and mental break.

I just never really understood sending Albies down to start with. He killed AA pitching to start with and was coming on strong in AAA... Well offensively anyway.

I agree, he was coming on.. but I also like the idea of the them working together. It seems that it worked too.. at least initially. I just like the idea of letting guys feel they can't accomplish anything else. Personally, I say let them stay in AA until August 1.. then AAA, then September call up. re-evaluate in spring training. Sometimes we get to eager to rush guys because we want to win. myself included.

I guess it's good that he's nowhere close to MLB then.

Aybar and maybe even Peterson or Garcia get traded, so that's why they want them ready because they'll be up after that

I don't see a long term fit for Garcia, but I do see a super sub role for Peterson. He could be a nice piece long term for a contender.

I don't know what to attribute Peterson's early-season struggles to, but he has really played well over the past month. I think he has a future in the league. Very good athlete whose baseball skills may be coming together. Curious to see how he fits into the Braves' long-term plans, but if he's squeezed out by Albies, he'll catch on somewhere else.

Well Garcia could be fine DH'ing for a few years.

Peterson they could use at 3B for a few years and super sub with Swanson and Albies in the DP combo.

I figure we want power though. Flowers should be signed for a few years. Whatever we get out of him offensively is just icing on the cake to his defense. After that, outfield wise Neck is the weakest link. I'd be fine with Mallex and Ender there if we can get a power corner OF somewhere via trade. We aren't gonna get Cespedes.

I think they'd rather trade Peterson if he hasnmore value than Garcia and keep AG at 3B temporarily until someone in 3B comes up.

Uh, Garcia doesn't hit anywhere close to good enough to DH.

I'd be all for signing Flowers to a 3 year deal.

Me, too. Worst-case scenario, he should at least be a platoon option.

That's Flowers, as in 1-for-33 throwing out base stealers? Pass.

Agreed, we can get away with Mallex and Ender in the same OF as long as we can get some serious pop from one of 3B or LF, and a decent bat for the other spot. In most cases I'd argue WAR is WAR, but you have to have an offense with a pulse to win games.

I'd really like to see Peterson in the super sub role, he could start on either of Albies or Swanson's days off with Albies sliding to SS on Swanson's days off (though the FO may not want Albies moving around, who knows).

Catchers in general are terrible now or I would agree (there are only like 5 great ones).

Sandy Leon is like top 10 in catcher WAR...that's terrible. I think Flowers is at least middle of the pack catcher wise, even with his horrible arm (unless Ventura gets on base against him).
