    Flowers out 4-6 weeks

So Julio's value just decreased. Any chance he can just take a vacation until Flowers gets back.

This sucks a lot. I hope we make at least a small trade for a good defensive catcher.

Sucks for not only just Flowers, and Julio, but our entire pitching staff (especially the youngsters trying to make their mark) in general.

Damn, what a blow. Hopefully we can manage to at least tread water until Tyler gets back. Honestly, we're probably going to have to seriously consider trading for a catcher. I'd probably stay away from trading Swanson or Ozzie, but would Fried+ do it for one of McCann or Weiters?

Absolutely not. This season is lost. Do not under any circumstance trade for one of our young assets for one of those old catchers.

Anthony Recker here we come. 4A player, but survivable offensively.

there is the problem with keeping AJ to begin with. Lose one catcher and you get stuck with a guy that should have retired.

And who wants to trade Fried? my gosh he and Allard already look like great front of the rotation prospects, sure it will be a couple years but I am willing to wait.

This should help us put the #1 pick closer out of reach. Our staff ERA will go up, more passed balls and wild pitches behind the plate.

Yah, but more advertising dollars from Mich Ultra? I dunno, we should explore the marketing potential for more free agent dollars.

Can we give AJ a nice send off tour like Kobe got?

    You're right.

I wonder if the Cubs would consider Swanson for Montero straight up.

Only 22.5 games out. What kind of message would we be sending to our fan base and the team itself if we punted so early at the first sign of adversity?
