Ian Anderson debut day!! Lets see if he can keep up the big mojo that Wentz/Muller have going on.

Also, Newcomb's last start was a disaster, interesting to see how well he rebounds.

Afternoon games, I am think both Ventura and Riley will have a big game.

And I think Newcomb will be very good tonight. I think a message was delivered last week when they didn't let him finish the 1st inning after he struck out his last 2 batters..

Perfect first inning for Anderson. Ground out, strikeout, fly out.

    Anderson so far: 2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K.

That could be it for him, although they did let Wentz and Muller go three innings each in their first start.

Derian Cruz keeps being Derian Cruz: 2-3 with two singles, two runs scored and an RBI. It's still the fifth inning.

Glad Rome tied the game. Weigel pitched a solid game and didn't deserve the L..

here is his draft video. I will see if I can find any more recent videos.

I really like his quick delivery, and he takes a huge stride.. his already fast fastball probably seems a lot faster..

It appears he sticks his tongue out right before delivery. I love it. Get in that batters dome.

I don't know why anyone would be excited about Anderson. He gave up hits.

I mentioned Clouse a few days ago. The guy has been a K machine since debuting in Danville. Wonder what he throws, because it is working.

Spent the better part of an hour the other day trying to find some kind of detailed scouting report or Clouse. I don't know if anyone saw his stuff translating to this kind of pro success. I'll look again.

Clouse pitched at Davenport College (the same school as #13 Brandon T. White). Here is a link to his college stats: http://www.dupanthers.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=8264 Looks to be a draft-eligible sophomore. Braves really hit the Upper Midwest this draft with the aforementioned Brandon White, Clouse, #29 Jackson Pokorney, and two guys out of Rend Lake (IL) CC (injured RHP Zach Becherer and unsigned RHP Dayton Tripp).

So he just pitched 2.1 innings..

    2H (one infield single) 1 BB, 4K.. 38pitches w/ 26strikes. He made the 9th interesting.. but still K'd 2 in that frame.
