Unfortunately he's been worse than ever over the past month in terms of contact and K rate. Hitting .228 and striking out in over a third of his ABs over the past month. All the power in the world is going to mean nothing if he can't make consistent contact. I'd rather see zero homers and a .275 avg from Braxton at the moment, would give me much more hope for him as a prospect.

I would not. If he's hitting .275 with no power, I have little hope in him. If he's at least hitting for power and showing good walk rates, I have hopes he can get the Ks down and the average up eventually.

I definitely never thought we would be talking this much about Rob Whalen. Again, this is what's so exciting about our system right now. We have a bunch of guys we all identify as high-ceiling, exciting talents...and we still have a bunch of guys in the category with Whalen (Gant, Povse, Weigel, etc.) who could still turn out to be good major leaguers.
