While he likely won't be a 1 WAR player while he is here if the amount of money comes out to the Braves paying Kemp around 8 million a year after factoring in HO's sunk cost then I would be satisfied with it.

Get rid of Markakis' contract and it'll essentially be a wash. In essence we would just be replacing Markakis with Kemp.

Would not be surprised to see us trade either Kemp or Markakis in the coming days. But there's really no hurry as both players would easily pass through waivers if they aren't dealt before August 1.

Really? I am trying to see how this has anything at all to do with what happens to Inciarte. I think it does mean Markakis and/or Frenchy are gone.

Keeping Kemp and trading the best CFer to cover up some of his bad defense isn't wise.

Just play Mallex in left center and Inciarte in right center. You can then have Kemp just camped out on the line in right field.

Braves just signed Matt Kemp to a 3.3 year contract for $30m-$32m. Not a disaster by any means, but not a smart deal, IMO.
