Just doing some stat-scouting on the DSL squad, the majority of these guys I've never heard of, but its always fun to look a long ways down the road at some potential names.
Hitters
Danyer Salazar - 3B - 18 years old
131 ABs, .282/.365/.427, 8 2B, 1 3B, 3 HR, 13 BB, 28 SO
Salazar is repeating the DSL, but his number have improved across the board and after a very slow June (.118/.286/.147) he's really come on strong.
Braulio Vazquez - SS - 17 years old
44 ABs, .364/.462/.432, 1 2B, 1 3B, 5 BB, 11 SO, 5 SB, 2 CS
Interesting to start seeing pieces of our July 2 signings get into the system, Vasquez was one of our lesser-known signings this year, but has hit the ground running at SS, I haven't found any scouting report on him.
Jeffrey Ramos - OF - 17 years old
76 ABs, .263/.305/.434, 8 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 4 BB, 16 SO
Another part of the July 2nd class, Ramos appears to have at least some gap power. Another guy I can't really find much on.
Juan Morales - SS - 17 years old
128 ABs, .148/.255/.211, 4 2B, 2 3B, 0 HR, 13 BB, 32 SO, 1 SB, 2 CS, 11 E
Morales signed for $450,000 during last year's international period -- so far the results haven't been pretty.
Pitchers
Filyer Sanchez - LHP - 6-1/175 - 19 years old
32.2 IP, 2.20 ERA, 0 HR, 9 BB, 21 SO, .219 BAA, 1.04 WHIP
Doesn't strike many out, but seems to limit homers and hard contact. Second year in the DSL, numbers have gotten better across the board.
Deyvis Julian - RHP - 6-2/165 - 20 years old
31.2 IP, 1.71 ERA, 3 HR, 6 BB, 30 SO, .212 BAA, .98 WHIP
Obviously too old for this league, but players do get later starts sometimes, the numbers are strong across the board and you gotta think a guy with a 6-2 frame can add some muscle if he's 165 pounds....
Miguel Jerez - LHP - 5-11/180 - 18 years old
14.2 IP, 0.61 ERA, 1 HR, 4 BB, 16 SO, .232 BAA, 1.16 WHIP
Didn't start pitching until mid-July and has only come out of the pen, but he's been really good statistically - 9.82 K/9 and 2.45 BB/9.
