For trade targets, I'd say Trout and Kershaw.

Is this Brian Cashman? Are you offering up Eovaldi and Clippard in return?

Afraid I'd have almost no interest in many of those options.

    The Target list...

Maybe Mac if Cashman got his heart right. Maybe Grichuk if the price were right.

    The FA list...

Castro if they don't get Mac.

I wouldn't move a single player on your Trade Away list other than Ellis in a Mac deal unless it was for someone you haven't listed.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

Yeah I'm not to big on those guys either. We have enough filler. We need a difference maker in the lineup and rotation. So Ramos and Archer would be my 2 targets.

I like Archer but only if we are going to give away the right pitchers or players. Because dont make any sense to draft this year 3 pitchers and then give away 3 or 4 for 1 pitcher. Maybe a package of Newcomb,Ruiz,Ellis and someone else.

I'd love to have both of those guys, but I'm thinking the plan is to not lose any draft picks or trade away top prospects.

I think our strategy is largely based on the recognition that acquiring difference makers by trade or free agent market is a very expensive proposition. We will sink or swim based upon our ability to grow our own difference makers.

I believe we're still going to look to stock prospects in our trades as well as fill the 40 man roster. I think we also look at some buy low candidates that play a roll in our roster makeup, as well as provide an asset to trade at a later date.

At some point they'll have to trade some pitching depth to help the big club. If they are really serious about contending next year then they'll almost have to. The Sale rumors tell me they are wanting to get an ace.

I think we're going to try and compete, but it's going to be more of a mirage, than truly going for it.

Jenkins is a boarder line top 100 guy. I'm not giving up on him. I'm not saying he's untouchable but I'm not looking to move him.

I think Blair wisler and Jenkins have the stuff.

I like Jenkins, but he's got a low ceiling. He's nothing special. I think we're open to trading good for the possibility of great right now.

Yep, the Kemp trade pretty much made that a certainty.

If he has a low ceiling, what is anyone going to give us for him?

I think the only guy on the trade target list that would come at a reasonable price is McCann. Like nsacpi has said, I don't want any "push" trades. I want to win trades.

Based on reports the cost for mccan is stupid high.
We need upgrades in the corner of (but blocked) 3b and catcher. Ss and 2b we know the long term.
Find a way to make it happen without mortgaging the future

Haha...Like I said I like Jenkins, but I think he has limited upside. We seem to be focusing on the upside more than the safe prospet right now. I'm not advocating a trade, just saying he's one likely to be dealt if a deal comes through.
