This is the lineup right here that needs to get cooking. Once the playoffs near, plug Heyward into the leadoff spot and LET'S GO!!

Jesus Christ, Fredi. Is it so difficult to put Simmons between Uggla and BJ? Wow, at the strikeouts.

    K, pop-up, K vs K, K, pop-up

Not enough difference to fuss over.

Gattis has gotten too impatient and is not making pitchers throw him fastballs in the strikezone. He has to make that adjustment mentally to allow his physical ability to show again.

Haha. BJ should be hitting eighth until he proves he can provide something. Uggla and Simmons have contributed.

Just be glad Simmons isn't leading off.

Now we know why Walden wasn't used last night:

Jordan Walden will be unavailable for the next couple of games due to a minor leg issue.

It's not a serious concern for the Braves. Walden has a superb 2.47 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 52/13 K/BB ratio in 43 2/3 innings this season out of the Atlanta bullpen.

Right? Now to get Fredi to turn his attention away from Schafer. Remember how hard that was the first time? Ugh.

Because Gwinnett's season ends Sept. 2nd, Cunningham can rejoin the team after their season ends and doesn't have to stay the required 10 days. So he will be back with the big club Sept. 3

"Maholm is 5-2 with a 1.93 ERA in seven home starts this season, allowing two earned runs or fewer in each outing."

How unlucky is it that he has had only 7 starts at home? If he can turn it around a bit (on the road), this makes me want to see him pitch a few games at home in the playoffs.

Yeah his home road splits are crazy, and it was especially weird when Fredi flipped him and Hudson right before the ASB, giving Maholm another road start.
