Alas, they are in Augusta. Because seriously, I was thinking hard about going. May go to Gwinnett instead. Hmmm.

And I knew that. This is a huge series to determine playoffs. Thanks for the mental reminder.

If i'm not mistaken, Gwinnett has the opportunity to clinch the division tonight at home. First time since 2009

Just saw Acuna hit a homer too. If he had been healthy all year he would have definitely been a top 100 prospect.

Riley's power is more than legit. His potential is massive. If the NL got the DH, we'd be completely set up. He'll be a great cleanup hitter for a long time if he can continue to figure pitching out

This kid has true 5 tool talent! I wish he had been healthy but he's showing his ability now!

Mallex is 2-3 with 2 BB. Insane. He's just dominating AA

Heard in a video clip that Didder is called "The Flying Aruban" by local broadcasters. Good nickname. Announcer added, "each night, you wonder what he is going to do next" after making a super diving catch in center.

Deester has seen him play and from what I can remember, Didder is all tools, but is having trouble harnessing them.

Thanks 50. You are absolutely correct. We signed him as a SS so I see that twitch in him. Lots to like but a ways off. I hope his calling card isn't HBP's. If we were as lean on the farm as two years ago, we'd all be raving about him. As is, he'll have to really work to realize his potential.

I liked him better as an infielder but he's a good enough OF'er.

I wonder how the FO is going to handle its promotions next year, particularly from Rome. It didn't seem like they wanted to put much of their premium talent in Carolina, but they'll likely be forced to next year in many cases.

I would have to think Acuna, Riley, James, Dykstra and Didder all get promoted from Rome, but I don't really see Moss moving up to Mississippi yet. Could they get aggressive with Didder and push him to MS or do we move Moss or James to the bench already? What do they do with Braxton Davidson? I get that these are largely minor issues, as only a small handful of our hitting prospects are going to matter, but it will still be interesting.

I believe Rome just clinched a playoff spot with tonight's DH sweep.

Just a guess, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Davidson bumped to Mississippi - not necessarily because he needs a new challenge, but because we can use the ABs for the guys at the lower levels. I'd also expect to see him and Peterson to see time at both corners (as well as 1B) in an effort to make them both more useful pieces if/when they get called up (or in 2018 of course).

With Braxton's eye and approach, he should be able to replicate his numbers at that level without epic struggles.

Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?
