Hendricks vs. Kluber has the potential to be a Smoltz/Morris-like affair.

If Chicago scores a couple runs here in the 9th, I'd sit Chapman

Up 5. I would sit him anyway. He hasn't thrown a lot of pitches so he is good tomorrow.

why exactly was Chapman still up with a 7 run lead?

If Chicago holds, hard to not favor the Tribe.

Big 3 in their bullpen is rested, and have Kluber.

Cubs better have a lead by the 5th inning or they're toast.

Pretty obvious Maddon doesn't trust Strop. Not sure I blame him

He shouldn't trust anyone in his pen sans Chapman. That Rizzo homer and baserunning blunder by Perez looming large.

Chapman may or may not be a Cub next spring, and has months to rest after tomorrow night. Both teams are trying to erase 70+ years of history. These are the reasons we saw Miller in Game 5 and will see them both tomorrow night until their arms fall off - and Tito and Maddon are justified in using them the way they have. You can't measure heart, clutch, or momentum with numbers.

Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

This is a good point, but in a 7-run lead, thats a little more than enough.

Chapman only threw 20 pitches, so it's not like he extended him too much. But if he was going to pull him after a single batter in the 9th, why even bother letting him start the 9th? Just a weird move all around in my opinion.
