Coming in January: Braves' Top 50 Prospects of the last 50 years

Currently putting together a list and all bio will be ready to go Jan. 1.

Input is welcome, but our definition of a prospect is a player who was originally drafted/signed by the Braves, which means Smoltz, Swanson, Blair, Mallex, etc. are not eligible for the list.

Criteria are: draft placement/bonus, career production, hype factor, interesting background.

    Don't assume anything.

No. 50 will be Jose Capellan. Beyond that, I give away nothing.

This should be really interesting. You said not to assume anything...so I assume Andruw is #1? Heyward 2, Chipper 3?

I would guess Chipper, Murphy, Glavine, Wainwright, and Horner in the top 10 somewhere

Andruw has to be number 1, and I think only Chipper is probably anywhere close.

Steve Avery has to be really high on the list. I don't think I was ever more excited over a pitching prospect.

When I announced I was going to do this series, I forgot that, not only was I going to have to rank them, but I had write them!

I am an idiot. But it will be ready Jan 1.

PS: There will be more than 50 bios posted due to "incompletes."
