except none of the people planning to vote for Biden think he's some sort of champion of theirs...they are voting for him to do a job...there isn't this emotional identification with the man...there are some people who support very poorly chosen one who have done so without the heavy emotional investment...but there is the crowd that is emotionally invested...it is an interesting group...but as I've noted elsewhere they are a minority within a minority

I'm sure zbhargrove would stand up to the scrutiny. Your Pokemon Go argument is astounding influential. I stand corrected.

I don't know man/woman. I think that minority of a minority is a lot larger than you think. I would certainly be immensely bummed if "the very poorly chosen one" did not come away victorious in November. Am I dysfunctional - maybe. I'm doing pretty good for myself. But I'm certainly not as perfect as you are apparently. Since you're in such a good place to judge a signficant subset of 60 million people without knowing anything more about them than that they are emotionally invested in the success of the President of the United States.

Also I'm pretty certain ya'll aren't even voting for Biden to do any job other than being the vehicle to remove Donald Trump from office. That's basically what the Democrat party has projected for the past 4 four years. No policy but to undo the 2016 election. Anyway, I"m excited to see what happens. Because I know there are a lot of people like me that are sick of the Democrat party, the media bias, and all of the bull**** time & money aimed at removing Donald Trump from office and are eager to vote in November. It's amazing really. I don't think there is such a thing as an ex-Trump voter. After every manufactured scandal over the past 4 years.. From Mueller to Iran to Kashoggi to Kavanaugh. From Russia to Ukraine to China and beyond. No one left the train. But I'm pretty sure quite a bunch more boarded. I think 11/03 is really going to open some eyes. And make many of them very very salty and wet.

I tried to warn ya'll were stuck in an echo chamber last time. Check the archives. But what do I know.. I'm just a dysfunctional deplorable to you.

Well I did say I was practicing without a license. My mother voted for Trump. And she has a good deal more common sense than I do. I don't think most Trump voters are nuts. But there is a group...a minority within a minority...that I do wonder about.

The fact that so many view politics as "teams" now is a huge part of the problem. We are all Americans but we all treat the other half like they are scum. It is really disgusting. I get that there is a party mentality, but rarely in history has it become as toxic as it has now. And honestly, its on both sides.

Look to China and how they poisoned our universities with their ideology.

That'll help you understand why this happened.

I'm good without the tinfoil hats, thanks. That's a ridiculous statement. The far right is just as bat **** crazy and as much of a problem as the far left and if you cannot see that, you're refusing to be honest with yourself or you just don't care about the truth. Radical left are socialists and the radical right are borderline white nationalist isolationists.

Personally I think the far right is much smaller than the counterpart on the left.

Who are the figures on the far right that are as influential as AOC and her crew?

Confucius institutes and the morny influx on universities is well documented. China is using every tactic possible outside of direct military confrontation to overtake the US.

Making us fight each other is their best move.

Umm... our President? You're just deluded by your own opinion, quite frankly. Then there are the nuts who have a huge voice who are just disc jockeys who charade as political experts like Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh.

AOC and her "crew" are very influential.... they couldn't even get Bernie or Warren competitive in the primary.

We are doing a fine enough of job of fighting each other on our own.

What would be an example of an extreme position those two take (divergent from traditional republican ideas) that is equivalent to what AOC proposes (GND/UBI/M4all) and gets large amounts of support.

Again, let's look at where each part was 20 years ago and where they are now. It is undeniable that the left has moved more.

Where do you think that starts?

Have you not see what is happening on college campuses?

Their stance towards refugees and immigration are extreme, it's a white nationalist and isolationist approach for a country which was built on immigration. Trump is our President. AOC couldn't even get Bernie or Warren to be competitive. The right has moved just as much as the left. The white nationalism is a major problem.

Our President literally has more affection for Kim Jong Un and Vladimir Putin than half of his people...
