That will depend, both good and bad, on who you ask.

I would say when he does something. So far all he has done is dismantle governmental infrastructure by inaction.
And, he has, by his own assessment, no legislative accomplishments
I would guess when the bill comes due he wont pay it,declare bankruptcy and go back to his hold plated shtter.

Reasonable question. I will note that some of his partizans here and elsewhere trumpet every good economic number as if he is. I believe he also has taken credit on twitter for some of them.

I would say at this point he has done very little to help or harm the economy. That's my take.

Sorry, but I do not have a date.

I will observe that there is a lag between a president coming into office and his implementing his economic agenda. There is a further lag between implementation of the agenda and its economic effects. Generally, I would say the first year of any presidential term the economy's performance has little to do with the president's policies. Even beyond the first year, I think we are prone to giving the president (whoever he is) too much credit and blame. The economy is a very complicated thing and the levers available to any president are not all powerful.

I think Obama hit the ground running --- by passing legislation to try to get the car out of the ditch, by this time he had saved the auto industry and securing manufacturing jobs, had implemented programs to try to get us out of the financial melt down he inherited etc etc etc
And, implemented cash for clunkers of all things

I am sure he froze or peeled back some regulations.

That really doesn't take any kind of --- effort

Unfortunately, the president’s team was thinking about what corporate interests wanted, and acting on their behalf — even as specialists on flooding issues pleaded with the administration to do otherwise. On Aug. 15, Trump and his team overturned an Obama-administration rule requiring that infrastructure projects, including roads and bridges, be designed to withstand the consequences of climate change — such as rising sea levels.

Experts in climate change, coastal management and environmental policy begged the administration to maintain the Federal Flood Risk Management Standard for “climate resilience.” The concern crossed traditional lines of ideology and partisanship, as free-market economic groups and Republican members of the House praised the standard.

But politically influential real-estate developers and builders lobbied for overturning Obama’s order. And they got their way, thanks in no small part to one of the industry’s most powerful allies in the administration, Transportation Secretary Elaine

He "Saved the auto industry" by stealing from future generations and writing them a fat check?

    That doesn't seem so hard.

Seems like you plan to wait for the inevitable crash the fed is planning by raising interest rates, then blaming Trump. I'm curious, if Trump passes nothing, can anything bad (or good) be blamed on him?

Not really. I just said the president gets too much blame or credit.

Most of the time the economy does fine when left on auto pilot. I expect that over the next two or three years. Occasionally auto pilot results in something really bad. It is mostly the Fed's job to avoid those kinds of flight plans.

I agree... but many idiots on the left are quick to give Obama credit for gas prices and low interest rates. Perhaps you're more intelligent than that.

Anyways.. Trump has done nothing to hurt the economy, and rolling back regulations helps, IMO. If he passes tax reform, all the more power to him.

Yes, Obama had job growth, but the was a result of Fed policy and not guaranteed to continue. The fed was out bullets (can't keep lowering interest rates). Now we need actual fiscal policy, and Trump is off to a decent start

    Prove me wrong
