"he doesn't know any better!" is an excuse we make for puppies who go pee pee in the house. we hold 5 year olds in kindergarten to higher standards.

when trump was obstructing justice by pressing other politicians to end the russia investigation, he had senior officials leave the room because he knew it was wrong.

I don’t recall you feeling the same way about obstructing Justice when it came to Hillary’s emails and Benghazi.

the only thing trump has been spot on about is when he said he could shoot someone in the middle of the street and not lose his supporters. that's not a compliment to supporters. that's saying they're, by and large, foolishly loyal and would let him get away with literal murder, because their small-picture, short-sighted brains won't hold him accountable for anything. he thinks ya'll are all idiots, and i can't say i disagree.

Wasn’t it the Democrats who kept electing a senator who committed murder? I guess they’re all idiots since they actually kept re-electing a murderer.

Democrats also kept electing a grand wizard of the KKK.

I used to genuinely value conversing with you, even despite our strong disagreement on some key issues; but if you're going to continue this recent trend of arguing on bad-faith interpretations of my positions, I'm not sure the point.

Meanwhile, the rest of your post is a lot of strong rhetoric and weak argument. Ok, "wealth is created and growth is had"—for whom? by whom? You say "more Americans working than in the history of the country", but to what quality-of-life? That's a fairly senseless metric (and unsourced) on its own, and doesn't speak at all to fullness of employment or fairness of compensation. "If you're not growing, you're dying."—purely platitudinal rhetoric. As I've said before, economic growth (as we often measure it) is neither a symmetrical good nor a good in-and-of-itself. And lastly, you say "more jobs [will be] created out of necessity", and yet you still don't answer what we do for/with the folks for whom there is simply no employment—assuming, I suppose that in a market freed from "our ridiculous tax and regulatory system" that we'd have total, 100% employment. I call that postulate fairly ridiculous, even amongst all these platitudes.
I've answered your questions 3 times.

I would not provide a safety net for welfare. I don't support it philosophically nor in practice.

At best, I would be willing to invest in skills education programs for underskilled people. They would have to complete minimum requirements/pre-reqs in order to qualify.

We keep going in circles. But your way has won out in our economic paradigm. We have coprorate welfare and social welfare. We have wealth inequality. We have more people living in poverty. I'd love to give my way a shot, but the left doesn't like freedom fo some reason.

Our economic philosophies are just different. You always reach to the bottom, while I always try to push towards the top.

I sure hope Republicans can hand a political victory this week to a president who may have colluded with a foreign government against the United States

Flynn has a couple loose screws. But even so, I don't think he would communicate with the Russian ambassador in the way he did without instructions from his superior(s).

I believe communicating with the Russian ambassador in that way will be problematic, highly problematic, for his superior(s).

W/R/T jpx's comment about sturg's assertion that "growth" is an unalloyed good and and and unto itself, I'm reminded I have something that I read years ago about our modern economy, wealth inequality, and how we measure growth and progress. I don't even remember the author, it might have been Joseph Stiglitz or possibly someone more pink. Paraphrasing, though: a hero of our current economy is a wealthy person who's being treated for cancer and undergoing a nasty divorce.

The GOP is screwed either way. They may as well go ahead and pass the tax bill. At least that way they'll have one piece of legislation to point to, such at it is. It's gonna take a while for T voters to know how they've been screwed over, even more so than usual.

The Left this... the Right that...

If people don’t understand why conservatives would support Trump, then I don’t know what to tell you. (Oh hint - it’s not because they are morons or evil)
