Jury is literally still out on that
Has,anyone told Trump with government shutdown he must stay in DC or pay his own way ?
Nope, they don't. It's sad.
You really wanted to make a snide remark without getting a response, but I'll give you one anyway.
I do believe that the Christian culture that founded this nation is the driving factor behind it's success. I do believe that overwhelming that culture from the outside at a pace that prohibits assimilation of that culture by immigrants is a factor that has weakened the country. As this country offers the best chance to worship freely, I believe that we need to safeguard it from threats to that freedom, including the threat posed by illegal immigrants who are virtually certain to be willing to trade liberty for security. So yes, I sleep soundly despite my support of the wall and stricter immigration.
As for healthcare, or any of the needs of the less fortunate, I believe that everyone should make charitable donations to assist them. I do not believe that the federal government should confiscate an ever growing amount under the guise of providing services that are inadequate, overpriced, ineffective, and often corrupt. I say that as someone with plenty of experience working with food stamps/EBT, non profits, and charities. You're welcome to join me at my church anytime you want to volunteer to help those people, we have a role, or a dozen roles, for everyone that's willing to help.

Setting aside the timing of this, remember when the Hannity crowd used to lose their **** over Obama's expensive-ass dinners/galas/whatever?

How many "fake" news organizations took a pass on the Stormy Daniels story because she refused to corroborate?

Should the Trump campaign be exonerated, so be it let's move on.
If not, I would expect it like the Rose Bowl/National Championship SoCal won with Reggie Bush.
the result is the result but ...

The best way to stop a bad guy with a gun is to make sure he doesn’t get a gun.
no, actually the "founders" saw religion / Christianity quite the opposite of your claim/
Using the authors of the Declaration and the Constitution as examples.
To my reading they viewed religion/Christianity (in this case) a private matter

I find it telling you view taxation a "confiscation of money" ,
Supposing everyone held your altruistic view ( not meant snidely !) of charitable donation we wouldn't need a tax system to begin with.
Each of us would gladly chip in our fair share for fire and first responder protection, contribute to build roads and bridges, or pick up the trash. Defense ... or in this case, care for the needy. Along the way we learned it more efficient to put all of those social needs under one umbrella . Then elect people to decide how those funds are allocated.
But that isn't the case is it?
If we are this Christian nation you so proudly say, wouldn't Mathew 25:40 be the rule not the exception
Or are border walls more important ?
Personally I find the "tax is confiscation" argument Sophomore year of college naive

As far as those people elected to allocate those funds, a wise man once quipped "Don't boo. Vote"

Yeah - The number is far greater than anyone wants to say. This is why the left is pushing for this. This would be a game changer for them.

But I was told there was only 700K and “millions” was an inaccurate lie.
Also don't forget that they are all good people who contribute more than Americans and are just in totality better people than Americans.
At what point can we just completely ignore absolutely anything the left says? How many falsehoods have they peddled in just the past month?

As far as those people elected to allocate those funds, a wise man once quipped "Don't boo. Vote"Sure. But they all shared a common religion. The first settlers from Europe arrived here specifically to practice that religion.no, actually the "founders" saw religion / Christianity quite the opposite of your claim/

I would change "we learned" to "the government decided," and then I would point out that this decision gave the government infinitely more power, and that this is something our founders worried about and warned us of.Along the way we learned it more efficient to put all of those social needs under one umbrella . Then elect people to decide how those funds are allocated.
But that isn't the case is it?
And I find the view that we should trust the government to use confiscated funds in an altruistic manner to be gullible, naive, and ignorant of both historical and present day events.Personally I find the "tax is confiscation" argument Sophomore year of college naive

"We made progress," a source familiar with the Trump/Schumer meeting tells me. Will there still be a shutdown tonight? Source: "I don't think so."
