It would seem that Broidy's encrypted email to the UAE was hacked by the Qataris. From there it found its way to the NY Times. Hard to say how the matter came to Mueller's attention. Maybe from the questioning of Bannon.

I doubt they learned about it from Bannon, but Nader was a topic in his interview, noted a few weeks ago.
Kushner's Gulf State ****ery has the potential to be a very big deal, to put it mildly. It's hard to say right now what's what, but damn...he looks like he is primed for a fall. Maybe letting a callow and massively leveraged nepotism hire act as shadow Secretary of State wasn't such a hot idea.
I'm not really surprised that the Trump crowd has stepped in this much **** in a little over a year---I've always taken a rather cynical view that they were going to try to steal what they could as soon as they could. There's a certain logic to just matching up the obvious combination of cupidity and power in the Trump inner circle with the players who have money to throw around in order to influence policy--the Gulf States, China, the Kremlin/oligarch/OC axis. I'd be shocked if they didn't all try to get a bite of the apple, and there's circumstantial evidence to suggest that they all have.

Hopefully Trump's move to Bernie Sanders style economics will get the left thinking more rationally about it.

1. He would have included his support staff, the people standing between him and a jail cell.
2. He would not have given the stock market a 24 hr shock.
3. He could have shown other countries a little respect.

there have been historical periods where the reigning hegemonic power has abdicated...the outcomes have tended to be disastrous for all parties...if you want to read up on the thinking in this field Charles Kindleberger is a good place to start
